Travel

If you are flying into the area, there are a few airports you could choose to fly through to get to Sonoma.

  • Sonoma County Airport (STS)
  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • Oakland International Airport (OAK)

Sonoma County Airport (STS) is approximately 35 miles from the resort, and the drive will take about 45 minutes. This airport is small, so flights directly here can be limited and pricey. There are several car rental companies, but you could also take a car to the resort and use the complimentary resort services (shuttles and bikes) throughout your stay.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK) have many flights. You will need to rent or hire a car to drive about 60 miles to Sonoma from either airport.

Driving from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), you will cross the San Francisco Bay by driving over the Golden Gate Bridge, and your drive will about 1.5-2 hours. Please be mindful that this drive will take you through the city of San Francisco and includes some two-lane highways. If you have time to stop for a short hike, we recommend visiting Rodeo Beach and the Marin Headlands Visitor Center on your way.

Driving from Oakland International Airport (OAK), you will cross the San Francisco Bay by driving over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge or going through the East Bay. This drive will take you about 1-1.5 hours and can be a little bit easier to drive since it is mostly on large highways. If you have time to stop for a short hike, you could stop by Point Pinole Regional Shoreline.

Safe travels!
